Dell Poweredge 2950 w/ PERC 6 from FreeBSD 6.3-RC2 -> FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE?

FreeBSD 6.3 will boot on our PERC 6 machine, but 6.2 won't recognize  
the mfi device.  Just backporting the mfi.ko appears to be  
insufficient.  Has anyone done this?  Any hints as to what else might  
be needed?
