Annother Wireless network card annother problem

After my hard drive failing last Saturday, and having
to spend time getting everything back again, I gave up with the
Linksys card for now, and got hold of a Belkin PCMCIA card and
what Belkin label as PCI Network Adaptor; in the hope
that it would work 'out of the box'.

Here's what pciconf -l -v says about it:

none1 at pci0:10:0:        class=0x028000 card=0x11001638 chip=0x11001638 rev=0x02 hdr=0x00
    vendor   = 'Eumitcom Technology Inc'
    device   = 'WL11000P'
    class    = network

(Incidentally, I found that my MAKEDEV script was so old that in
order to make /dev/pci I had to copy in a new version from the
source tree: anyone know why this hasn't been updated by make installword?)

Anyway, WL11000P is nice and clearly described in the wi(4) man page.

     Belkin F5D6000 (a rebadged WL11000P)

Admitedly, the card did have F5D6020 written on it, but whatever, it is a
WLP11000P!

Now, I have this in the kernel:

# PCCARD (PCMCIA) support
device          card
device          pcic0

device          wi

And on booting I get

What's wrong with THIS one? Do you think FreeBSD 5.0 would be better?
Any ideas would be *really* appreciated.

PS I haven't given up with the other yet, but wanted one working until
I have time to fiddle more with the other. If you want to see the Linksys
card, which doesn't have "mw251-1 REV:XA" on it as far as I can see,
then I have scanned it and left it here:

PPS When I am done with this my next 'It really should work...' problem
will be writing a CD!
