Hi Hackers reading a thread from this very list i solve my problem trying to debug user- land programs. the problem was gdb-6.1.1 , and the thread point me to use gdb-6.6 and all my pains went away. so my question is: will be GDB upgraded in the base system? or the buggy gdb-6.1.1 still be around? best regards Manolito
