I've seen that as well and I'm fairly certain it's a different bug.
Grog reports a similar problem to mine and (in my case) it seems to be
just something being too slow - fvwm continues running correctly.

What does your script do?  I've used xmon in the (distant) past but
it is designed to sit in the middle of an X connection.  I think
Wireshark can decode X11.
