5.3 scheduler problem reborn in 5.4-rel-p5?

in searching for an answer to my problem, i came across this thread, to 
which there doesn't seem to have been a resolve:

i must say that my problem is almost identical, per my dump:

'sio' is compiled into my kernel, although there was no serial in use at 
the time of my crash.
