Firewire tape drives

Hi,
Does anyone have any? Do they work in FreeBSD? :)

I have seen a Sony AIT2 drive with a Firewire/USB2 option and I'd be 
interested to know if it works in FreeBSD as UW SCSI cards are rather 
pricey..
