setting up snmp for mrtg on localhost

Hi,

This question really should go to questions at freebsd.org in the future,
not hackers at .

I wrote some articles on MRTG and SNMP. Take a look at:

http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/bsd/2000/07/27/Big_Scary_Daemons.html
http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/bsd/2000/08/10/Big_Scary_Daemons.html
http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/bsd/2000/09/21/Big_Scary_Daemons.html
http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/bsd/2000/10/05/Big_Scary_Daemons.html

You want either net-snmp-5.1 or ucd-snmp-4, but if you just install
them and try to go you won't be particularly pleased with the results.
SNMP daemons require some basic configuration.
