etherboot & 5.x kernels

not sure is it the correct list to ask,
but let give it a try.

I was using etherboot to boot the diskless station.
The kernel copied over the network find, but then I
saw no kernel messages on the console.

I put some debug messages into etherboot code, confirmed that
kernel was actually called. It was called, and I saw NFS
requests from the machine, so the kernel actually booted,
but in some reason refused to output to the console.
4.x kernels behave fine.

If somebody knows the solution for the issue, please let me know.
I have started digging into etherboot code. It fills out
and passes struct bootinfo to the kernel. Are there any changes
for the interpretation of boot parameters since 4.x kernels ?
