client-side locks

 Hello again,
 I have saw the "FreeBSD 5.0 - Release notes", and there have 
notes about client-side locks in FreeBSD 5.0. And i'm having 
problems with locks in Free 5.0... Can i disable that?
 Because the 4.x are working fine! The locks in 5.0 are working, but
after two, or three days timeout (i guess that is timeout, the programs
do not show me nothing) simply after a long time, it works.

 ps.: The machines are diskless.
