Another issue I faced is distorted icons and elements in gdm and gnome-shell.
The close button and many other window buttons, embedded images in apps looks
distorted. I fixed it by installing gnome-icons-extra and choosing the gnome
icon theme via gnome-tweaks. I got the fix through freebsd forum. Still, gdm
has distorted shutdown and gnome/gnome-classic chooser buttons displayed. I'm
not sure, if it's all related or should I report it as another bug.
