Can't change brightness in KDE on PC-BSD 10.1 - Re: freebsd-gnome Digest, Vol 604, Issue 5

PC-BSD 10.1 directed me to this list. I've semi-scoured the
internet. The files mentioned on websites don't exist on my
computer. I can't find any way to change the brightness in KDE on PC-
BSD. It's too bright. The buttons on my HP laptop don't work.
There's no setting in power management or anywhere else that I can find.
