Works fine on my headless box.

server is 7.2-RELEASE-amd64.  Clients are HP/NeoWare e90 thin clients.
 I don't know the specs exactly.

The thin clients use their built-in gui, but from my mac I can connect
fine with "X -query (ip) -once"
