new gnome wont install from ports on FreeBSD 6.3

Hi many thanks.  It was the X11 make.conf switch as you said, it installed fine as soon as I removed it from the config and recompiled cairo.

It looks like you have WITHOUT_X11=yes in somewhere like in your make.conf? Show us the output of 'make configure' in the graphics/cairo.  
Also, show us the output of 'make -V WITHOUT_X11' in graphics/cairo.
