Have you tried to follow (gdb part) in  
http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces/Details#obtain-a-stacktrace ? This is  
how to get it works by WITH_DEBUG=yes.

I don't have Inkscape install right now, so it will taking a while for me  
to get it install later.
