These problems were real, and at the time, the word from the Evolution
developers was that we needed to use the built-in bdb.  I really don't
want to go down that road again as the breakage was very insidious.

If the Evolution developers think that this is safe, and they will
entertain support requests from users using an external bdb dependency,
then we will entertain a conversion.

You should just have to drag the sliders to expand the pain you want.  I
 have always seen three pains in Evo.  Of course, make sure you've
selected to view Message Preview under View.
