UK £ Pound Sign in Gnome Terminal

Hello,

In X11 any terminal application seems unable to print a £ sign. Graphical
applications are still ok with them. I'm using the uk.iso keymap.

         Driver      "kbd"
         Option      "XkbModel" "pc105"
         Option      "XKbLayout" "gb"

This is what I always had in the past and things worked. Has something
changed?
