abiword crash on open/save

Hello,
I am running FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE on amd64.
I can make and install the port and abiword can be launched. I can type 
text. However, when I 'save' the document or try to 'open' another
one, then the program crashes.
I could not find a description on this bug on the web, nor a workaround.
Please, tell me if you know something about this.
