ximian-connector for evolution failing on startup

Thanks for all of the good work on the gnome ports...

I am having a problem with the ximian connector port not working
properly... I get the following when I start evolution...

...

(evolution:79778): evolution-mail-WARNING **: couldn't get service exchange://
... private stuff omitted ...
use_ssl=when-possible: Could not load /usr/X11R6/lib/evolution-data-server-1.2/camel-providers/libcamelexchange.so: Shared object "libeshell.so.0" not found, required by "libcamelexchange.so"

I do have libeshell in 

$ pwd
/usr/X11R6/lib/evolution/2.2

$ ls -ld *eshell*
-rw-r--r--  1 root  wheel  90132 Mar 14 16:04 libeshell.a
lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel     14 Mar 14 16:04 libeshell.so -> libeshell.so.0
-rwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel  87795 Mar 14 16:04 libeshell.so.0

any ideas?
