FreeBSD Port: devel/gamin

Hi,
I'm currently working on Gentoo/FreeBSD project (trying to have Gentoo's
portage and init system using FreeBSD kernel, libraries and userland).
One of the things I'm needing to have a full-working Gentoo/FreeBSD system is
a provider for "virtual/fam", which can be SGI's FAM (which will require *a
lot* of patches and it's quite unpractical) and Gamin.
I choose Gamin because it's a lot cleaner and actively maintained.
As for a couple of days ago, gamin 0.1.1 is in Gentoo's portage, but it still
doesn't support Gentoo/FreeBSD correctly as it needs the patches which are
currently applied on your cvs.
One of the things we must consider on Gentoo is whether upstream knows about
the applied patches, so I'm asking you if those patches are already reported
to Gamin authors, so that we can apply them directly or if they must be
informed about their existance for a newer version.

Thanks in advance,
