Seems like I misunderstood what you meant with 'terminal
launchers' ... I guess now I see (see below)

| Yes, I am referring to gnome-terminal profiles. All profile editing and
| creation can be done from within gnome-terminal itself.

So, whenever you want to add a launcher for an app that runs
on a terminal, you add a launcher for a gnome-terminal,
which is using a particular profile. And you just change the
icon for each profile. Is this what you're doing?

If so, seems like my question is a different one, since I do
not use gnome-terminal but xterm. Again I just supposed that
adding a custom icon to a launcher will also make this icon
appear in tab/window lists. Perhaps it is a Gnome Bug, or
perhaps there is a way to specify these icons ... how do
gaim/firefox do it? or perhaps gnome is providing icons for
these apps itself?

Fernan,
still ruminating my question :|
