I doubt that's the reason. It uses -DLINUXTHREADS for it's build, yes,
that's normal, but it's consumers have no reason to specify
-DLINUXTHREADS for their own build. According to pkg-config file from
glib12:

Cflags: -I${includedir}

nothing more. You need to dig into dctc port.
