How to disable/change Gnome2-6.0/Metacity window minimizing animation?

You can either use gconf-editor to check
/apps/metacity/general/reduced_resources or install sysutils/cog, and
check the "Reduced Ressources" (yes, it's misspelled) checkbox under the
Metacity tab.
