That directory is definitely the wrong location, and should not exist.
I'm not sure why it's even being referenced. As a side note, that input
module is going away in GNOME 2.6 (due out next Wednesday!).

Those are straight GNOME 2.4 packages just like you would get from
ftp.freebsd.org or bento.
