Mono 1.0 port issue

What version of FreeBSD are you running? I'll make a guess and say it
is the gacutil.exe that is hanging. :)
It does have to do with the threading. For example, on -CURRENT, you
can trigger this behavior reliably by putting the following entry at the
top of /etc/libmap.conf
libpthread.so.1 libc_r.so.5
libpthread.so libc_r.so
That WON'T work--lang/mono is stable only when KSE is doing the
threading.
If you're running -STABLE, this is still very much a work in progress.
I'm of the opinion now that pthreads, as implemented by -STABLE is not
quite up to the task. I'm thinking of trying pth instead on -STABLE,
but I need a "guinea pig" since I don't have a -STABLE box anymore.
