xft build fails

Good day.  I've had this fail on 2 freshly installed machines now.

Also attatched is the config.log

I'm running a make install in /usr/ports/x11/XFree86-4
Also receive this if I run a simple make in /usr/ports/x11-fonts/Xft
Here's what is says on screen, where the errors start
