GNOME Session not avaliable in GDM

Copy /usr/X11R6/etc/gdm/factory-gdm.conf to
/usr/X11R6/etc/gdm/gdm.conf.  Note, this is discussed in the Known
Issues section at http://www.freebsd.org/gnome/.
