I've just tried installing "mrproject" from the port.
Stupid question, but does this port work?
I am running 4.7-RELEASE. X is XFree86-3.3.6_11: old but I have
an unusual video card to drive a fixed-frequency monitor.
In /usr/ports/deskutils/mrproject, I typed
make
make install
Both produced screeds of output, and finished successfully.
But when I try starting the program (typing "mrproject"),
I get a popup window that says....
Application "mrproject" (process 46099) has crashed
due to a fatal error.
(Segmentation fault)
In the xterm, I get the following...
(mrproject:46099): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: value "-86400" of type `glong' is invalid for property `project-start' of type `glong'
(mrproject:46099): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: cannot register existing type `MgGanttModel'
(mrproject:46099): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: file gtype.c: line 1941 (g_type_add_interface_static): assertion `G_TYPE_IS_INSTANTIATABLE (instance_type)' failed
(mrproject:46099): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: cannot register existing type `MgGanttModel'
(mrproject:46099): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: file gtype.c: line 1941 (g_type_add_interface_static): assertion `G_TYPE_IS_INSTANTIATABLE (instance_type)' failed

Xlib: extension "RENDER" missing on display ":0.0".
What is happening?
Should this be working? I notice the mrproject FAQ says there are
"problems" running on FreeBSD...
If it SHOULD work, how do I start to track down the problem?
Robert.
