portupgrade -R gnome2 will upgrade all the components of the basic
gnome2 desktop. portupgrade -r pkgconfig will upgrade everything that is
*or uses* gnome2.

adding a -f will rebuild all of them. no -f means just upgrade the
pieces that need to be upgraded.
