gnometerminal CPU load?

Hi,

is vte just really inefficient, or why does gnometerminal eat so many 
more cycles when compiled with vte instead of zvt?

I can fully load one of my CPUs doing nothing but "find /usr" in a large 
gnometerminal, especially when using a TrueType font w/smoothing.

Is this what I should be seeing?
