Gjournal reporting 1/2 the speed of non journaled? What is the status of Gjournal?

I hope development on other file systems on FreeBSD won't stop because
of ZFS :) Choice is always good and some file systems are better in some
tasks than the other, and compatibility with other OSes is always good
(for one, I'd love ext3 on FreeBSD :) )
