i was able to "fix" the issue with threads 2-32, where linux_sys_futex() was
repeatedly failing with -EAGAIN by setting kern.smp.disabled=1. if you compare
this output to the one beforehand with SMP enabled you'll notice a massive
increase in Kiter/s, due to linux_sys_futex() now not failing once at all:

... threads 64-1024 still fail, but as i pointed out beforehand that's not
an issue with futexes, but with linux_mmap2() failing with -ENOMEM.
