no problem. here's the dmesg entry:

DVDR <HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H10N/JL10> at ata4-slave UDMA33

the manufacturer is LG and the model's name is GSA-H10N (firmware JL10). the
maximum cd-write speed is 48x.
