For me, it causes two failures:
(1) atapci (Nvidia MCP55 SATA) doesn't find its connected devices;
(2) k8temp doesn't attach.

I don't know if there is any conceivable connection between the
two, so it would be nice to know if anybody else can reproduce (2).
