Console freeze but still alive

I also have this problem. I have tracked it down to this commit from jhb@, but
im not sure why it would affect things.

date=2005.02.07.22.00.00 - works
date=2005.02.07.22.10.00 - console stops
When I say the console stops, the last line of the boot process is
'Additional TCP options:.'. I can still ssh, and the console resumes
when shutting down.
