128bit WEP keys and ifconfig

I'm trying to set up my wireless NIC (Netgear WG511) to
connect to the internet through my wireless route (Netgear
WGR614). When I set up the router, I choose the 128-bit
WEP key feature. To my chagrin, Windows XP works well
with the WG511, but I prefer FreeBSD. I tried to give
my WEP key to ifconfig, which does not work.

%ifconfig ndis0 inet 192.168.0.3 broadcast 192.168.0.1
netmask 255.255.255.0 ssid YADA channel 11 wepmode on
wepkey abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

ndis0: set wepkey failed: 19
ndis0: set wepkey failed: 19
ifconfig: string too long
ndis0: set wepkey failed: 19

Other than using a 64-bit key, is there some way to
force FreeBSD to work?
