and if you look at the bottom of that log ... you notice

SMP: AP CPU #1 Launched!
Mounting root from ufs:/dev/ad4s1a

this is definately SMP kicking in and "launching" the 2nd logical CPU
.. CPU #0 being the first logical CPU.
