Problem with FreeBSD (4.9-REL to 5.2.1-REL) on NForce 2

We had one here and 4.2 oinstalled ok..
to get anything newer we had to disable DMA on the ata drives.
(types something in the boot line but I forget what..) (Don't have hte
machine any more)
(and afterwards we added it to /boot/loader.conf)
