ATAPICAM problem

Dear All
Could someone please help with running atapicam on ompaq Presario 2585 
under -CURRENT?
I did install device atapicam into the kernel and was not succseed.
I try to load it as a module but was not sucseed eather.
What should i do to make my DVD/CDRW drive to function as cd0 device?
Under - STABLE it is working perfectly.
But i do not want to have two versions of FreeBSD installed and switch 
from one to other when i need something :)
