If you need specific versions of files you will need to either download
them manually each time (you can use the CVSWeb interface to access
individual versions from the web site) or you can use cvsup to maintain
a complete copy of the CVS respository and check out copies from there.
You may also be able to find an anoncvs server, but there aren't that
many of them and that is a very slow way to access this much source.
