Problem with xorg-vfbserver [and other -server] build[s]

Chances are, you have an older libfreetype in /usr/X11R6/lib
(libfreetype.9 gets installed in /usr/local/lib)
so
    rm /usr/X11R6/lib/libfreetype.*
and try again.
