ACPI failure on 5.2 (Re: Timecounters and 5.2)

ahh nice..so i am not the only one :)
i disabled APIC like one of the guy said, and it boots perfectly..APIC is 
only formultiple procesor machines right? Its not like disabling ACPI, 
right?
thanks anyways for pointing me to that
