__asm ("int $3") while Giant lock

Hi,

    I am trying to find out reason od LOR's in my code. I've placed 
__asm ("int $3)
instruction in my code to enter debugger, but after I enter 'n' command 
systems
goes to panic.

Is this normal?
Should I send output?
