CF cards wear out?

If my memory serves me right, typical flash memory chips sustain
about 100,000 erase/write cycles. That sounds like plenty, but keep
in mind that filesystems tend to update some area on the 'disk' more
frequently than other areas (for managing files, space allocation,
etc.)
