Back in the good-old-days (6.2) when you compiled ncurses the terminfo compiler tic was created. Now it isn't.

# cd /usr/src/lib/ncurses
# make (takes 8 minutes to compile - have a nice cup of tea)
# make install
# find / -name tic
tic not found.
