>Description:
i ran "xorgcfg -textmode" to configure X11. i have a LCD monitor with H. sync = 81 KHz (SAMTRON 94v). so i entered "81" for the H. sync into the "textmode" tool. -> no change to my X11 config.
i tried with "81-81". -> no change.
i tried to configure with "Xorg -configure". -> ok, the resolution changes but i loose my french keyboard, i get an english keyboard.
>How-To-Repeat:
see above.
>Fix:
i edited the xorg.conf file of the "textmode" tool: i tried with "80-81" and it works!
so:
1) in the FreeBSD manual, 5.4.2 (configuring X11), don't talk first of "Xorg -configure" but rather of "xorgcfg -textmode" (because it's easier and more complete (except for this H. sync bug))
2) in the "xorgcfg -textmode" tool, if the user enter a single H. sync, or a null range (<freq>-<freq>), the tool must translate: <freq-1>-<freq>
PS: the "xorgcfg -textmode" tool commented (#) my video card memory size into xorg.conf. i don't know why. (i have a GeForce MX440 SE - 64Mo)
