 This looks more like an issue with sysinstall than the ata driver as the ata 
 driver detected the hard drive fine.  I note that in the garbled messages cut 
 and pasted ad0s1 has no free blocks, so perhaps you attempted to create a 
 swap partition when the disk had no free space?
