$ env -i /usr/bin/grep --colour=always :0: /etc/passwd
root:*:0:0:Charlie &:/root:/usr/local/bin/bash
toor:*:0:0:Bourne-again Superuser:/root:

The entire ":0:0:" should be colorized.
