Is it a Bug?

Hi,

I am not sure if this is a bug or something else, but I certainly think it's something that's not right.
I tried to install FreeBSD on my PC (see below) and the result was something that I did not expect.
First of all the installation of the system took 28(!) hours. I did use the boot only cd and I downloaded the packages where the maximum download speed was 16-20 KB/sec from a nearby server (normally I have 16Mb/sec) but the whole installation itself was extremely slow, the donwnoad speed didn't make it much worse. For the first time I installed everything outhere (except kernel development part).
Second time I went with the minimum only (required plus the recommended man files), result is the same, installation very-very slow, used the CD rom thistime but the "download" was even worse (10KB/sec the best).
The real problem is that the speed did not change when I booted up at all, not even for the second time. Took about 5 to 10 minutes to get to the login and even after i experienced the same issue. every command takes ages to take affect.
I have two 500GB SATA HDD and a SATA DVD drive, and of course I used the x64 version.
Could you tell me what's wrong?
Thanks in advance
