>Description:

r186240 breaks the disk mounting phases of boot on my machine. The disk itself is detected, but no partitions are recognized.

The only "strange" thing about my setup is that the drives are "Dangerously Dedicated" and I thus use the simple boot loader.

The MEPHISTO kernel is GENERIC with the extra debugging in head removed.

>How-To-Repeat:

Boot a kernel built with the GEOM_* changes in r186240 on i386.

>Fix:

Revert the sys/i386/conf/DEFAULTS GEOM_* changes, and build a new kernel. All works as it did prior.
