FreeBSD mail2.parkin.ca 7.0-RELEASE FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE #0: Sun Feb 24 10:35:36 UTC 2008 root at driscoll.cse.buffalo.edu:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC amd64
>Description:
Having installed FreeBSD 7.0 (amd64) on a (hardware) RAID0 volume, I tried using sysinstall to add a FreeBSD partition and a BSD label on a (hardware) RAID5 volume. After exiting sysinstall, I got

ls: command not found
shutdown: command not found

..and the like. Moreover, I did not get any response after trying to login on the other consoles.

After rebooting (with Ctrl-Alt-Del), the partition and label are there and there are no further problems with the volume, so far. Of course, I'm not at all sure if all this is specific to my setup...
>How-To-Repeat:
Add a FreeBSD partition and a BSD label on a (hardware) RAID5 volume on a HP ProLiant DL380 G5 (or similar) using sysinstall on FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE (amd64).
